new scam is messaging customers and placing a “fake” order…then telling the shopper to call the number of their “care taker” even sending a screen shot of the number with a fake business name attached. they make you go through hoops and promise to pay extra… so crafty these days!!!

Uber preys on suckers

How long have you been with the company? I drive for Uber and have never seen such a great offer for $150! Maybe it has to do with seniority? I’ve been driving for seven years.

Same thing happened to me on UE, did a shop and pay promotion, took orders I would have never taken in order to finish it. 1 of the orders only had a $1 tip, and it was pouring rain that day too. Fought with customer service for over a week before they finally paid me. I am done with Uber too. It has just has not been profitable for me in my area in the last few months.

I hear you! I did an Uber promo for $20 bonus to complete 5 Shop and Pay orders. They didn't pay. After an hour on the phone and 14 agents later (and getting hung up on 3 times), they did pay. Never again!

The scam is the gift cards. I received a $25 Instacart gift card from one of my kids as a Christmas gift. I registered the card, tried to make a purchase for less than the balance amount and Instacart would not allow me to use the card unless I give them my personal banking information! I've received gift cards by other merchants and never have been asked to supply financial information in order to redeem the gift card. Instacart gift cards are a scam!!!

PARA/ CARTWEEL HAS TEAMED UP AND THEIR COMPANY THAT HIRES YOU HAVEN'T PAID ME IN 2 WEEKS. THIRD PARTY APPS WONT ALLOW YOU TO GET TIPPED. IT GOES TO THOSE COMPANIES NOT THE DRIVER. I AM SPEAKING ON THE CATERING ORDERS.

Ubereats is the same now as well. I have experienced many delivery alerts as low as $1.50, $2, 3, etc. Its so disrespectful to even see pop up. Ubereats base pay is nothing. They use tip to make payment seem higher. But customers can take the tip away up to a hour after delivery. 😂
